I became a journalist because I believe in the power of words to share stories, communicate ideas and discover life's curiosities. As a journalist, I'm eager to learn and dedicate time to researching every angle and creating a unique web of sources and anecdotes for every story. Being trusted to tell someone’s story is one of the most beautiful and empowering experiences.

Writing has always been a passion of mine, and sports have played an important role in my life just as well. My goal with each story is to highlight the humanity behind every athlete, coach or team. I want to give readers a different perspective of their favorite athletes and show that they’re so much more than just a talent on the field.

I am an Oregonian, born and raised in the city of Portland. My favorite things to do, outside of writing, include visiting the beach, camping, reading, running, getting lost on adventures, traveling and trying new food. I graduated from the University of Oregon in June 2019, where I was involved with the University's School of Journalism and Communication and the 2019 president of Oregon’s chapter of The Association of Women in Sports Media (AWSM). I have been published in The Register-Guard (Eugene, Oregon), The Oregonian/Oregon Live, The Seattle Times, The Orange County Register/ The Los Angeles Daily News, Knoxville News Sentinel, The New Haven Register and The Washington Post.
